www.easyjet.comEasyjet offers cheap flights to Inverness, Edinburgh & Glasgow from Luton, Gatwick and other domestic airports. They also do car-hire from some locations (watch out for the low daily free mileage allowances, though!)

www.ryanair.comRyanair normally has the cheapest fares to Glasgow (Prestwick) from Stanstead airport in Essex.

www.britishairways.com - British Airways is not always the cheapest but worth checking (they also fly into Inverness as well as Glasgow/Edinburgh)

www.flybmi.com – BMI fly from London Heathrow to Inverness & Aberdeen and have some great fares.

Special Mention (en-route to Skye)

www.therealfoodcafe.comScotland has a reputation for some of the best (and worst!) food experiences in the UK. This is definitely one of the best! Situated on the A82 (the main route through the Highlands from Glasgow) at Tyndrum, the Real Food Café offers the best fish & chips, home-made soups & pastries north of Loch Lomond. A great place to stop en-route to Skye to refuel for the final stretch!
