Facilities & Prices

We currently offer 2 rooms – 1 double & 1 twin (see pictures below) – both of which have great views to the Outer Hebrides. Each room has a colour TV (reception can be flakey up here depending on the weather) but we do have a wide variety of DVDs, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. As noted on one www.tripadvisor.co.uk (search for Darnbrook) review, the rooms and en-suites are small. If you are of a large stature, you might find the en-suites rather cosy. However, I am six foot four and don’t have a problem.

There is also a comfortable lounge/dining room (with the view shown on the front page)

for our guest’s exclusive use. We also offer Internet access (we even get Broadband up here!).

Our facilities are not really suitable for young children but please call us to discuss alternative local arrangements.

We charge the following rates for Bed & Breakfast in 2010:

4^th January – 1^st April 2010 £29.00 per person per night

2^nd – 5^th April 2010 (Easter weekend) see special offer below

6^th April – 23^th Dec 2010 £29.00 per person per night

Closed 24^th, 25^th & 26^th December

27^th December 2010 – 3rd January 2011 £35.00 per person per night

***** SPECIAL OFFERS *****

1. If you are planning to stay at Easter and are looking at the nights of Saturday 3^rd, Sunday 4^th & Monday 5^th, we have a special rate of £25 per person per night if you book all 3 nights (single supplement still applies).

2. If you are planning to stay with us for 3 or more nights at any other time of the year, please call or e-mail as we may be able to offer you a discount on the above rates.

Booking notes and conditions

We do have a policy of a minimum 2 night stay for Easter, July and August 2010 in our rooms (well, you can’t really come all the way up here to Waternish in Summer and only stay one night!) and our booking service reflects this. We also have a minimum 2 night stay in both rooms for the period of the 27th December until the 3^rd January 2011. However, if this causes you a problem, please contact us by phone or e-mail and we will try to accommodate your requirements.

Regretfully, we do not have any single rooms so we reserve the option to charge an additional £10.00 per night for single occupancy of a double or twin room.

When booking, we ask for a £20.00 refundable deposit to secure the room(s) with the balance payable at the end of your stay. The deposit is refundable up to 1 week before arrival in case your plans change – cancel within one week of your arrival and we will retain your deposit. In the case of non-arrival and we have not been informed or you have given us less than 24 hours notice of cancellation then we reserve the right to deduct the full cost of the first nights stay from your credit or charge card.

We accept payment by cash, Visa or Mastercard (3% transaction charge payable), Switch/Maestro, Delta, Solo (no additional charge). We do not accept personal cheques.

We regret that we can no longer provide evening meals during the Summer months due to outside work commitments but for those guests coming to us in the Winter (minimum 2 persons), we are happy to offer optional evening meals to your requirements (see Sample Menus)
